Schoolhouse Lofts

Historic Restoration and Residential Conversion

This historic, two-story school in downtown Petaluma is adaptively reused into new residential lofts.  The brick and terra cotta exterior remains with windows and doors added complementing the classic aesthetics.  Careful planning created twelve 2 BR/2 BA lofts, keeping the original 1927 charm, while updating to 21st century needs.  The former auditorium houses two lofts with vaulted ceilings and open trusses.  Original stairways remained entries to retain the schoolhouse feel.
